About Riverfest

Riverfest is an annual celebration of central Ohio’s rivers and waterways, educating the public about the vital role waterways play in our community. Viewing the shore from the seat of a canoe or catching a fish- these are the experiences that help people develop a lifelong attachment to the natural heritage of our region. Riverfest extends to people of all income levels the ability to participate in these activities free of charge and to develop this connection and commitment to our natural resources.

MORPC is pleased to announce that this is our 9th year in providing Riverfest.  It is important that we learn, as well as teach our young, about the benefits of our most precious natural resource, water.  The educational activities associated with Riverfest not only show how water can be fun but it also displays a healthy respect and need for this vital resource.  Take the time to learn how to respect our waterways but also, how to enjoy them.
